On this week’s edition of “52 Weeks of Home,” it’s Kitchens!

If you’re new to the blog, and haven’t explored a lot yet, you can see the kitchen story here.

Week 18 : Kitchens!

Your kitchens, favorite nooks, charming cookware….anything in the room!

I’m not going to lie – as I’ve said so many times before, spring is HARD for a band director. I am so far behind on life, and I can’t keep up. So when I was taking pictures for this week’s photo challenge, my kitchen was a disaster. Like – dishes and stuff and life covering every surface. I thought, “I should clean this up.” And then I thought, “Nope. I don’t want to. Let’s see how artsy I can get with my pictures. Can I frame the mess away?” The answer is YES. I’ve been trying to learn some new camera things with this challenge, so I guess this week’s is “How to take a picture while concurrently hiding all your mess.”

I see you, perfect people on Instagram. I will always assume that whatever is outside of the frame is a giant pile of laundry and trash.

Here are my shots for the week!

  1. Love your kitchen, but it’s your Jadeite collection that always draws my eye. Are
they heirloom pieces or have you collected them? I have never seen all the canisters and spice jars…you are a lucky lady…
