52 Weeks of Home Project : Week 19 – Exterior Trim

Is is beautiful where you are? I think we skipped spring and went right to summer – but it’s so nice to feel the sun shining and have beautiful weather! Snow is my favorite, but I am always so excited about the next season whenever it comes around.

The good weather makes this a great week to look at some exterior trim!

Week 19 : Exterior Trim!

What are the little details on your house you want people to notice?

The details make the house, especially on a Victorian where more is more! But I love the clean trim that can be found on mid-century modern and craftsman, too!

When we restored the exterior, it was amazing to me how much more the details popped with the color choices.

I LOVE the front screen door. I really want to replicate this on the balcony door!

I remember being excited – and then terrified – about painting the turret purple and grey. I thought it might be too much.

But I’ve really grown to love it. It probably is too much, but I don’t mind at all. I’ve embraced it!

I love the brackets and the dentil mouldings, and all of the window trim.

It was really nice to stare at some of these details for the first time in a while!
