Two of my camera lenses aren’t working, so I can’t take pictures of the finished bathroom. It sort of feels like I’m missing a limb. It’s so frustrating, and makes me feel less creative. It’s not a fun feeling. Hopefully, I can get them fixed soon (and yes, I’ve tried absolutely everything that makes sense, and I’ve used these lenses thousands of times, which makes it all the more crazy). But, another few days won’t matter, right?

Week 23 : Fabric

Upholstery, curtains, rugs, towels, clothing…..

How does fabric make your spaces beautiful?

Because I feel a little limited right now without my cameras, I’m going to depend on an old photo this week, and keep it short.

I think this picture sums me up the most. I love fabric, and pattern, and color, and texture. I’ve almost stopped watching HGTV (but I love their magazine) because it seems like everyone is focused on whites and neutrals. My brain is wired differently, and I love vibrancy and chaos. It’s exciting to me. I love pulling the color scheme of a room from a fabric in this case, the rug was a jumping off point. The black and white (and cream and black) of the curtains and the chaise are a fun pop next to the black walls. I love how they work together, even though it’s crazy.
